Let’s welcome our latest Unibot to the neighborhood— Chef Brot

Chef Brot is coming to town, and we can’t wait for you to meet him! Once you complete Chapter 1, you’re in for a treat (lol). Say hello to Chef, your newest resident and culinary expert.

With his own charming personality and plenty of tasks, you’ll quickly learn he’s bringing more than just food; Chef introduces a new cooking system into the game that will enable you to feed the resistance! 

Speaking of… there are a few new recruits who you’ll be able to take alongside you in missions. Let us introduce you to Battle Companions! 

Team up with Battle Companions to defeat your enemies

The Unibots you save in missions across the campaign and through contracts can now join you in battle. You can bring two if you’re playing solo or one with you if you’re adventuring with friends.

We heard your feedback about Lynked’s difficulty — many players expressed that the game was feeling a bit too challenging when playing solo. With these new Battle Companions, you’ll have a helping hand in battle, making the experience more enjoyable and giving you a creative way to take on tougher foes.

Each Companion will have a Spark Power and unique combat skills, which you can improve by feeding them tasty grub—especially their favorite cuisine! As you serve them more and more meals, your companions will rank up, earning stat bonuses, improving their Spark Powers, and even unlocking a special piece of decor!

We’ve been cooking up something extra special for you

Working alongside Chef, you’ll unlock more recipes that show you how to combine your crops together to create delicious dishes. There are 80 ridiculous dishes that mix ingredients like crops with rocks, Gillibots, and even Combot parts to create meals like Grillibot, Mineral Stew, and Smeat Mountain.

We’re not just serving supper— there are also seven new weapons to unlock by cooking the recipes in Chef’s cookbook. New food-themed weapons include:

Residents around town seem to have specific food cravings, and you’ll need to complete their flavorful “favors” by giving them their favorite dishes. Completing these favors will unlock rewards along the way and allow you to bond more with your neighbors. 

Snazzy new cosmetics and player preferences updates!

We’ve added rumble support for folks who enjoy playing on your Steam Deck or with a controller. This can be disabled through the in-game options menu.

As another preference update, you can now choose whether weapons from chests match your current weapon’s class. If you prefer, you can switch back to full randomness in the settings!

Get ready to deck out your space with some seriously snazzy new goodies! There is a new suite of Unibot Resident Statues, and show off your culinary achievements by whipping up delicious meals to earn Chef hats.

Add a dash of flair to your town with charming new decorations like the Chef Action Figure and Poster.
